The "ASK" Workshop is a comprehensive one-day training designed for individuals working and living with children. Participants gain insights into a child's understanding of death and suicide, learn key questions for risk assessment, and discover effective communication strategies. The workshop explores personality traits in at-risk children, provides a research-based definition of suicidality in children, and guides helpers on creating safety with parents and caregivers. Through lectures, discussions, videos, case studies, and simulations, participants leave empowered and equipped to make a positive difference for children at risk of suicide. The standardized workshop materials include a workbook, pocket reference, risk assessment worksheet, and a certificate of completion.

**SafeTalk Overview:**
SafeTalk, a 3.5-hour workshop for ages 15+, enhances suicide alertness. Participants learn to recognize warning signs, respond to invitations for help, and apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen, KeepSafe). Designed for caregivers, volunteers, health practitioners, and more, it provides a certificate upon completion, fostering readiness for effective suicide first aid intervention.

ASIST is an interactive two-day workshop designed to equip caregivers with life-assisting first-aid intervention skills for suicide prevention. Open to all caregivers, adults, and youth aged 16 and above, this comprehensive training empowers participants to identify individuals with suicidal thoughts. By the end of the workshop, attendees gain the ability to conduct safety assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide life-assisting first aid. A participant testimonial highlights the program's effectiveness in various crisis situations, emphasizing its life-changing impact. ASIST is a vital resource for caregivers, formally designated or not, seeking to make a positive difference in suicide prevention.

This 2-day, 12-hour workshop equips participants to recognize and address mental health issues in adults (18+). Covering substance-related, mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and psychotic disorders, the course follows the ALGEE framework—Assess, Listen, Give reassurance, Encourage professional support, and Encourage other supports. Key outcomes include increased awareness, reduced stigma, enhanced confidence, and practical help provision. The method of delivery includes lectures, discussions, videos, and case studies, culminating in a certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
